Fearing the killers are under orders from the Queen, she disguises herself as one of the choirboys. Personal Reaction/Evaluation: This book was fantastic!! It has humor, mystery, and suspense! I have read this book multiple times, and each time I read it I enjoy it more. I recommend it for anyone who loves a good suspenseful mystery. Memorable Literary Element: The literary element that stands out in this book is the characters. The choirboys have a tendency to be mischievous, and Alice herself is a very strong character, not afraid to speak her mind. Illustrations: N/A Review: Goodreads: "Well written historical novel; suspenseful. My daughter read this for a 7th grade reading assignment and enjoyed it and passed it on to me. Good book!" Promotion Idea: This book would be excellent to promote on a mystery display. It could also be a good murder mystery to promote around Halloween. Another promotion idea would be reading this book to view how life was during the Elizabethan period. |
